Woven by hand, slowly
Each mat is hand-woven in Rajasthan from thick, naturally dyed cotton. The yin-yang is woven into the cloth itself rather than printed on top, so it softens with use instead of wearing off.
Small variations in the weave come from the hands that made it. No two are quite the same.

Is a cotton mat grippy enough?
Cotton grips well on grass, timber, carpet and sand, and gets grippier as it warms under you. It is made for slower practice like yin, hatha, breathwork and meditation. On polished floors, a thin rug grip underneath keeps it still.
How do I wash it?
Shake it out after use. Spot clean, or hand wash in cold water with a gentle soap, then dry flat in the shade so the colour stays soft.
How big and heavy is it?
61 × 183 cm, about 7 mm thick and around 1.6 kg. It rolls or folds easily and the tassels make a natural carry handle when tied.
